Deckhand or 2nd Chef position
Dear Captain / HR,
Im a Brazilian sailor currently crossing the Atlantic in a catamaran Lagoon50ft,
seeking opportunities as a Deckhand in the yachting industry, with a strong focus on building sea miles toward my Yachtmaster Offshore certification.
I hold STCW, ENG1 (valid until 2027), and IYT certifications including Superyacht Deckhand Crew, VHF Marine Communications, and Small Powerboat & RIB Master. I also have around 3,300 nautical miles of sailing experience, including regattas and sailboat deliveries, and I am comfortable working on deck and as part of a team.
Professionally, I have worked in demanding environments including Royal Caribbean cruise ships and the capital markets division of Itaú Unibanco, the largest bank in Latin America. These experiences helped me develop strong discipline, attention to detail, and the ability to work long hours while maintaining high standards.
I am physically fit (1.81m / 79kg), hardworking, and highly motivated to gain experience at sea, contribute to the crew, and build miles. I am open to deliveries, crossings, daywork, or temporary/permanent positions where I can continue developing my skills.
I speak Portuguese (native), English (fluent), Spanish (strong understanding), and basic French.
I am currently heading to Portugal, but soon as I arrive, ill go to Spain, available immediately.
