Looking to get more sail experience

I picked up sailing again last summer on a lake in my area and like expand my experience to the open waters. I'm looking for a longer voyage to get more experience with sailing, navigation and work around a boat instead of island hopping. My main goal is to get my own boat and sail to destinations I haven't been before.
