Motivated beginner looking to learn sailing and join friendly cruising adventures

My name is Jager , and I'm from China. I'm 30 years old and currently looking for opportunities to join an experienced crew and gain real sailing experience.
Although I'm new to sailing, I'm serious about learning. My long-term goal is to buy my own cruising sailboat and eventually sail around the world. Before taking that step, I want to build practical skills, understand life on board, and become a capable, dependable sailor.
As a former professional swimmer, I've always had a strong connection with the ocean. These days, I love surfing and spending time at sea whenever I can. The ocean gives me a sense of freedom and adventure, which is one of the main reasons I'm passionate about learning to sail and eventually living the cruising lifestyle.
I'm physically fit, calm under pressure, and enjoy challenging myself. I'm easy-going, open-minded, and not a high-maintenance person. I enjoy meeting new people, making friends from different cultures, and I believe a positive attitude, respect, and teamwork are the most important qualities on board.
I also love cooking and would be happy to prepare meals for the crew. I can cook both Chinese and Western food, and I genuinely enjoy sharing good meals with others. I believe good food helps create a happy atmosphere, especially during longer passages.
I'm happy to help with watchkeeping, helming after instruction, cooking, cleaning, provisioning, docking, maintenance, and any other daily tasks. I'm a quick learner, responsible, reliable, and always willing to contribute wherever needed.
I speak both English and Chinese and I'm flexible with trip length, whether it's a short coastal passage or a longer cruising adventure. I'm also happy to contribute fairly to shared expenses.
For me, sailing is much more than a holiday. It's a skill, a lifestyle, and a lifelong dream. I'm looking forward to learning from experienced sailors, becoming a valuable crew member, and sharing unforgettable adventures together.
