Enthusiastic Weekend Crew | Building Sea Miles | RYA PB2 & SRC
I am an IT professional based in the UK with a long-standing passion for the marine world. Ever since childhood, I have been fascinated by both aviation and the sea. Although my career naturally led me into the world of technology, my passion for boating, navigation, and seamanship has never faded. I'm now taking the opportunity to pursue that lifelong interest seriously and work towards becoming a competent and responsible skipper.
I have recently completed my RYA Powerboat Level 2 and RYA Short Range Certificate (SRC), and I am due to start my RYA Day Skipper Theory course shortly. My goal isn't simply to collect qualifications, but to build genuine seamanship through practical experience, learning from experienced skippers, and gradually accumulating meaningful sea miles.
I am currently looking for opportunities to crew, volunteer, and contribute wherever I can. I understand that every trip is a learning opportunity, whether it's helping with lines, keeping watch, handling the helm under instruction, or simply being a reliable extra pair of hands. I firmly believe that real experience on the water is the foundation of becoming a capable skipper.
As a person, I am enthusiastic, dependable, disciplined, and always eager to learn. I enjoy working as part of a team, value safety above all else, and genuinely appreciate the opportunity to learn from those with more experience. At present, I am primarily available on weekends and am ideally looking for day trips around the South Coast to begin building my experience and sea miles. If you're looking for someone who is committed, respectful, and genuinely passionate about boating, I'd be delighted to join you and contribute in any way I can.
