Looking for an opportunity to learn, meet and explore the wonderful world of sailing while crossing the Atlantic!
I've been intrigued and fascinated my entire life by waters in general, and the vast adventures and openness that the sea offers in particular. After a few one day experience on boats, I'm looking to fulfill a very special dream of mine which is to cross the Atlantic ocean by boat.
A bit about me - I'm 28 years old originally from Jerusalem and now travelling the world. I’m a fast learner, adaptable, and very happy to get my hands dirty and learn whatever needs to be learned on board. I love arriving somewhere I know little about, meeting people with completely different backgrounds, learning how things work, and finding my place within a new environment
People and community are a big part of what makes an adventure worthwhile for me. I love good conversations, shared meals, stories, music, books, art, dancing, and the strange friendships that form when people share an intense experience together. I’m very used to teamwork, long days, solving unexpected problems, taking responsibility and living or working closely with very different kinds of people. I speak English, Spanish and Hebrew, and I genuinely enjoy communicating across languages and cultures.
I’m not looking at an Atlantic crossing simply as transportation from Europe to the Americas. I want to learn about sailing, contribute seriously to life on board, and experience the ocean and the rhythm of a long passage. I’m comfortable with uncertainty, I learn quickly, and I bring curiosity, humour, music and a willingness to work. I’d love to join a crew where people share responsibilities, teach each other, have interesting conversations, and enjoy the adventure as much as the destination.
As my skills are very basic, I'm looking for an position as novice crew or friendship but can guarantee fast learning and willing to take major responsibility for everything that needs to be done on board(:
