Looking for a sailboat to cross the Atlantic from Spain to the Caribbean. Deckhand, sailor or diver position

Hi! I’m a Spanish aspiring sailor looking to cross the Atlantic on a sailing yacht with a friendly, responsible crew.
I hold the Spanish Recreational Craft Skipper licence (PER), fully endorsed for sailing and motor vessels, including the 24-metre extension, VHF radio, navigation and onboard safety training. I have limited sea miles, but I learn quickly and my goal is to gain genuine offshore sailing experience.
I’m happy to take part in night watches, sail handling, navigation, cooking, cleaning, provisioning and whatever else is needed onboard. I’m easy-going, adaptable, practical and definitely not looking to travel as a passenger.
I have travelled solo through many countries and I also spent a year travelling across the Americas with a travel companion in a Toyota 4x4 that we converted ourselves.
So I’m familiar with adventure, changing plans, limited space and making myself at home almost anywhere. Now it feels like the right time to trade four wheels for sails and take the adventure to the next level: crossing an ocean.
I have a degree in Environmental Sciences, a Master’s in Marine Biology and I’m a PADI Advanced diver. I worked for environmental NGOs, including Greenpeace, and spent time aboard Greenpeace ships through my work — although not as sailing crew. I have also completed survival and onboard safety training.
I’m now an entrepreneur, so I’m used to taking initiative, solving problems, learning quickly and making things happen. I speak Spanish and English and could join a boat in the Canary Islands for a passage of several weeks to the Caribbean. I’m also happy to contribute fairly towards shared onboard expenses.
I’m looking for a safe boat, a kind crew and the opportunity to work hard, learn and finally sail west with the trade winds!
