Looking for a Stew/Deck or Deckhand position
Dear Captain,
I am writing to express my interest in the Deckhand position onboard on a sailing yacht.
With a strong sailing and powerboating background, STCW, RYA Powerboat Level 2 and PADI qualifications, combined with extensive experience in luxury hospitality, I am now looking to build a long-term career within the large sailing yacht industry.
My professional background in luxury villas, chalets and boutique hotels has taught me the importance of presentation, attention to detail, discretion and consistently high standards. I am also physically fit, hardworking and comfortable working as part of a structured team where professionalism and reliability are essential.
What particularly attracts me to this opportunity is the yacht’s genuine sailing focus. I have always been drawn to sailing and would be highly motivated to develop my skills further in a large sailing yacht environment, learn from an experienced deck team and become increasingly involved in all aspects of deck and sailing operations.
I am looking for a long-term position where I can grow with the yacht, take on greater responsibility and continue developing professionally. The structured program, training opportunities and emphasis on longevity make this position particularly appealing to me.
I hold STCW, ENG1 and European passport and am prepared to complete any additional requirements necessary for the position and the B1/B2 visa process.
I would welcome the opportunity to introduce myself and discuss how my background, attitude and genuine passion for sailing could contribute to your team.
Kind regards,
Ioannis Triantafyllidis.
