Hi.
I'm based on the south coast of England and available to crew all year round; mainly to further develop my sailing and all aspects of boat keeping skills; while enjoying being on the water as well as the travel and the adventures it brings.
My sailing experience is gained not through a short commercial course; but over 7000 NMs of voyages made in the UK waters, Irish, Adriatic, Med and North seas, on different boats and with different skippers and crew. Plus offshore experience represented in multiple Biscay crossings,
Confident in solo watch keeping and comfortable to sail off shore (no sea sickness), and happy to sail short or even single handed depending on the boat set up.
UK and North Sea passages are preferred being a more interesting sailing environment; but all crewing opportunities considered.

Excellent Skipper
As a skipper Ayman is extremely calm and methodical - he's seen it all before. I learned a lot about managing risk from his approach. As a sailor Ayman is very knowledgeable and technically minded. He likes to properly understand the theory, which means he's good at teaching and explaining, and was serious about helping us improve our abilities. He's also very friendly, helpful and adaptive to changing conditions - we had serious engine problems from day 1 which changed our itinerary, and he was happy to jump in and help there, which meant doing less sailing than originally planned.
