Looking for a Skipper position
Hi - I've just joined Crewbay. I'm interested in finding a position as a Skipper. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people!
Former civil servant at the Ministry of Justice (38 years of service); currently retired.
In the course of my previous duties, I captained fishing vessels (11–30m) and rigid-inflatable boats (13–15m) in Atlantic waters.
Since 2021, I have been transporting Azimut yachts (ranging from 51 feet to 25 meters) from Italy (Adriatic and Mediterranean) to Portugal, serving as Skipper or co-Skipper.
These deliveries were carried out for Azimut Portugal, Azimut Vilamoura, and MTYachts Vilamoura.
Last summer, I spent three weeks conducting relief charters for Katerina Boats aboard an 82-foot Falcon, sailing the Tagus and Sado estuaries.
My motivation for this application stems from a love of the sea, the pleasure and adventure of sailing, and a desire to share the experience—and lessons learned from past mistakes—that I have acquired over the years.
I hold a Coastal Skipper license (*Patrão de Costa*), originally issued in 1999 by the Clube Naval de Ponta Delgada (Azores); it has been renewed by the DGRM and is valid until November 15, 2030.
I am trained in first aid and VHF radio operation (as part of the aforementioned certification).
I completed training in electrical systems, hydraulics, and air conditioning this year at the Azimut Academy.
I also possess mechanical knowledge.
Native Portuguese speaker; fluent in Spanish and English; French skills currently improving.
As I am retired, I have full and immediate availability.
In good health and physical condition; 1.87m tall and 72kg.
Fair winds.
